Kawaii Art Market presents to you... a childhood Christmas!
- Day of the event: 5th of December 2026-Hours: 10:00AM - 3:00PM- Location: Thistle Hall, 293 Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington, 6011.- Entry fee: FREE entry for attendees! Sign up with the link above and claim a free sticker at the front desk on the day of the event.- Application registration: 8th of August - 22nd of August 2026 (applications may close earlier if capacity has been reached.)
Artist Guidelines
- Every single application will be reviewed through your portfolio, we do not do first come first serve application.- Unless you are applying together for your shared table, we will be appointing you to your table buddy.- On this note, if you would like to be placed next to your artist friend, please state who.- This time around we will be curating the art market even more, giving spaces to artists with generally cute merch!
Kawaii Art Market Terms & Conditions
- NO AI, plagiarised art(100% traced, coloured, stolen etc.), resellers and drop-shippers. At Kawaii Art Market we value art made by humans.- NO NSFW, gore art/merch allowed. We aim for this market to be family friendly, so please keep everything G-rated. We will be doing our rounds to check if your goods are either of these. If so, you will be given a warning to remove the product immediately, any refusal means we reserve the rights to ask you to pack down and leave the premises. You'll be blacklisted effective immediately.- Once payment has been made, you will no longer be able to receive a refund unless we are able to find a replacement for your spot. We curate our market so no selling table spots.- Kawaii Art Market does NOT tolerate hateful and harmful behaviour. Anyone exhibiting this kind of behaviour will be asked to leave the premises, your table fee will not be refunded and you will be blacklisted.- Please let us know if you're unable to attend. No-shows with no prior communication will result in being blacklisted.- You must set-up and pack-down according to the time given to you, if you need more time to set-up please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you, and do not pack-down earlier than you should.- NO dangerous weapons allowed, that includes knifes, swords, guns and anything that is sharp and can be used to harm someone.- NO lit candles, incense, smoke machines, vaping, smoking and matches allowed at any time inside the venue. Please keep these goods covered and unopened throughout the event.- NO attachments are allowed on the walls, that includes any type of tape.- NO item that can be interpreted as racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist and propaganda content.- We reserve the rights to remove and blacklist applicants, volunteers, and attendees according to your behaviour; this includes but not limited to: everything listed on the terms and conditions above.
